    Jiu-Jitsu Near Fort Campbell, TN

MMAFFC is on Fort Campbell Blvd, minutes from post. No contracts, military-friendly, and your first class is free.

Fort Campbell personnel and military families make up a significant portion of the student body at Modern Martial Arts and Family Fitness Center. The connection isn't accidental. The gym is located at 2126 Fort Campbell Blvd Suite B — directly on the road that runs from the main gate. Most soldiers are on the mat within ten to fifteen minutes of leaving post.

That proximity matters, but so does the fit. MMAFFC operates with no contracts and no sign-up fees, which is the only model that genuinely works for military life. Eighteen-month tours, training rotations, deployments, and PCS orders don't pair well with annual gym contracts. At MMAFFC, you train month to month. If you get orders, you stop. If you come back to Clarksville, the door is open.

Coach Don's Lineage and the Army Combatives Connection

Coach Don Dees holds a BJJ black belt promoted in 2019 by Prof. Matt Larsen. Larsen is the founder of the Modern Army Combatives Program — the system every soldier across the Army has trained in since the early 2000s. The jiu-jitsu fundamentals taught at MMAFFC trace a direct line to the same principles MACP is built on: live training, technical correctness, and practical application against resisting opponents.

Soldiers from the 101st Airborne, 5th Special Forces Group, and 160th SOAR who have trained MACP find the curriculum at MMAFFC immediately familiar. The vocabulary is the same. The progression makes sense. You're not relearning the art from scratch — you're deepening what you already know.

Class Times That Work Around a Duty Day

Adult fundamentals runs Monday through Friday at 7PM, with open mat following at 8PM for soldiers who want extra rounds after a longer day. Kids classes — Little Warriors for ages 4–8 and Junior BJJ for ages 9–15 — run earlier in the evening at 5PM and 6PM, which works for spouses who need to schedule around school pickup and dinner.

Saturday open mat runs at 11:30AM. Sunday is closed.

The schedule is built for a working military community. The training reflects what soldiers actually need.

    Programs for the Whole Family

A Fort Campbell family can train at MMAFFC together. Adults in the fundamentals class. Kids in age-appropriate programs. A dedicated Women's Only BJJ class Monday and Wednesday at 6:15PM led by Coach Kim. Kickboxing included with BJJ on Tuesday and Thursday. Judo on Tuesday at 7PM. Weapons & Unarmed Defense every other Thursday.

One gym, one schedule, one community.

    First Class Is Free
